FAQ – Can I return an item?

We understand that on occasion you may need to return an item. Due to the nature of the products we sell, items cannot always be returned. Please see the below information on whether you can return an item (this does not affect your statutory rights).

You cannot return an item if…

  • The product has been opened.
  • The product has been used.

You can return an item if…

  • It has not been opened or used.
  • It is in perfect resalable condition.
  • It is returned to us within 14 days of receipt of the order.

📌 Important: If you believe you have received a faulty product, please contact us at 07405703697 or admin@shakscosmetic.com before returning it. Many cases may be due to an airlock in the bottle, which we can help you fix.

Standard Returns Terms and Information

The following information is extracted from our standard terms and conditions, which customers agree to when placing an order:

  • If a purchased product has been used or opened (hologram no longer intact, manufacturer/factory seal broken, or packaging damaged), it will not be eligible for a return, refund, or exchange.
  • If an item is returned and does not meet the return criteria, it will be sent back to the customer without prior notice.
  • Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility. We recommend using a tracked delivery service for your protection.
  • Delivery charges from the original order are non-refundable.
  • Some products are non-returnable for hygiene reasons. This does not affect your statutory rights.
  • Refunds will be processed back to the original payment method used when placing the order.
  • Refund processing time: Up to one week from the date we receive the returned item.
  • If you request a return after 14 days of receiving your order, a 25% restocking fee will be applied.

📌 Note: Items purchased from our Outlet section are not eligible for returns or exchanges.

Damaged / Incorrect / Missing Products

  • Please inspect your items upon delivery. If any items arrive damaged, incorrect, or missing, contact us at admin@shakscosmetic.com within 24 hours with full details.
  • If a return, refund, or exchange is required, we will provide instructions via email.

Faulty Products

  • If you believe a product is faulty, contact us immediately at admin@shakscosmetic.com with a detailed explanation.
  • If eligible for a return, refund, or exchange, we will guide you through the process.

Reactions to Products

  • Customers are responsible for performing a patch test before using any product.
  • If you experience a reaction, report it immediately with photos to admin@shakscosmetic.com.
  • If necessary, we will provide details for a return, refund, or exchange.

Refused / Undeliverable Packages

  • If a package is returned due to an incorrect address provided by the customer or failure to collect from a post office/depot, a £4.99 re-delivery fee will be charged.
  • If the customer chooses to cancel the order instead, the original shipping cost will not be refunded.
